{"id":5421,"date":"2020-03-25T13:07:37","date_gmt":"2020-03-25T18:07:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.mcmdigitalproducts.com\/?p=5421"},"modified":"2020-04-20T22:02:48","modified_gmt":"2020-04-21T03:02:48","slug":"covid-19-and-business-as-usual-or-not","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.mcmdigitalproducts.com\/?p=5421","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 and Business as usual&#8230; or not."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, I didn&#8217;t see that coming.\u00a0 But here we are, many communities are in a &#8216;loose&#8217; lockdown, and &#8216;non-essential&#8217; businesses are either shuttered temporarily or extremely limited in how they can deliver their services or goods.<\/p>\n<p>So what can we do?<\/p>\n<p>Probably what you&#8217;ve already done &#8211; try to notify folks what changes are being made.\u00a0 And this communication is important.\u00a0 Maybe you&#8217;re pivoting from brick &amp; mortar operations to online sales.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few ideas that other folks are doing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide content that will help other people, and continue to communicate your business to them.\u00a0 If appropriate, provide an online &#8216;tip-jar&#8217; so they can support you.<\/li>\n<li>Educate &#8211; use your phone &amp; a tripod \u2014 live stream video &#8211; it may be the best tool to grow your business when you\u2019re not at the office.<\/li>\n<li>Is there a local cause that&#8217;s helping folks that you can get behind? Announce it, spread awareness. Tell people what they can do.<\/li>\n<li>What in your expertise can you be doing? Or what can your clients be doing?<\/li>\n<li>Go and interview someone.<\/li>\n<li>Can you help your community or client base? Free rent? Services?\u00a0 Broadcast it!<\/li>\n<li>Encourage Facebook or YouTube watch parties of you doing something.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I know this is a tough time for you &#8211; it&#8217;s impacting everyone.\u00a0 And I want to help in whatever way I can.
