{"id":2413,"date":"2012-10-12T08:57:03","date_gmt":"2012-10-12T14:57:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kenivey.com\/?p=398"},"modified":"2015-10-15T16:45:20","modified_gmt":"2015-10-15T21:45:20","slug":"how-to-set-up-a-google-plus-local-review-in-5-easy-steps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.mcmdigitalproducts.com\/?p=2413","title":{"rendered":"How to Set Up a Google Plus Local Review in 5 Easy Steps"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='et-box et-&#8221;round&#8221;'>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class='et-box-content'>UPDATE: Google is now merging Maps, Places and Google+ into what they\u2019re calling \u201cGoogle+ Local\u201d, so all features can be found in one place.<\/div><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kenivey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Google_Plus5981945550_505fa90898_n.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium\" title=\"Google Plus\" src=\"http:\/\/kenivey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Google_Plus5981945550_505fa90898_n.jpg\" alt=\"Google Plus\" width=\"213\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Worried about the sudden changes Google has made to Google Places?\u00a0 Wondering how the new Google Plus Local format will affect those all-important business reviews?\u00a0 Well, you can relax.\u00a0 Google Plus Local is actually a great change \u2013 and one that will enable customers to leave even more comprehensive, detailed, and accurate reviews than before.\u00a0 What\u2019s more is that Google has made the whole process super simple, even for those completely unfamiliar with the Google Plus user interface.\u00a0 Want the details?\u00a0 Here are instructions for how to set up a Google Plus Local review in five easy steps:<span id=\"more-398\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Create a Google Plus account.<\/strong>\u00a0 You must have your own Google Plus account in order to leave reviews.\u00a0 However, you can now leave reviews from either a personal Google Plus profile or a business Google Plus page account.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Visit the Google Plus Local page of the business you want to review.<\/strong>\u00a0 This is simple: log in to your Google Plus account and search the left hand side of the screen for a vertical tab menu.\u00a0 See the \u201cLocal\u201d tab?\u00a0 Click on that to access the Google Plus Local search.\u00a0 Once you are on the appropriate page, you click on the \u201cWrite a Review\u201d button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rate the business.\u00a0 <\/strong>The new Google Plus Local rating system \u2013 called the Zagat scale \u2013 will ask that you rate the business from 0 to 3 on a number of different aspects related to the particular business you are reviewing (food and service categories when grading restaurants, for example).\u00a0 The numbers you enter are then calculated according to the Zagat scale formula in order to deliver an overall rating of 0 to 30.\u00a0 This score is also broken down into specific categories so that page visitors can accurately assess different aspects of the business \u2013 including its strengths and weaknesses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Write a review.<\/strong>\u00a0 Underneath the Zagat scale rating section is a text box in which you can write your business review.\u00a0 Take your time and be sure to provide plenty of detail, as well as specific tips and suggestions you would recommend potential customers follow when dealing with the business.\u00a0 Also, be sure to go over your review once you\u2019ve finished it, in order to add any missed information and edit mistakes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Publish your review.<\/strong>\u00a0 Once you are sure that you have rated and reviewed the business to your satisfaction, it is time to publish the review.\u00a0 Click on the \u201cPublish\u201d button underneath the review text box to publish it to the business\u2019 Google Plus Local page.\u00a0 The review will be listed under your profile, and anyone who sees the review, including the business itself, will be able to check out your profile page.<\/p>\n<p>Take advantage of everything Google+ Local has to offer!
